Bought by bank or in cash
How to see which purchases and which stock were paid through the bank and which in cash.
«Paid by» on purchase orders
Accounting → Purchase orders: every purchase shows how it was paid — Bank (card, transfer, Zelle, check) or Cash. The «Paid» filter leaves only bank purchases, only cash ones, or the ones not paid yet.
Set it by hand
The purchase's ⋯ menu → «Paid by bank» or «Paid in cash»; ✓ marks the current one. Your choice wins over the method recorded on the vendor payment.
In the inventory
Accounting → Inventory: under each product's quantity, in grey, what the stock is made of — e.g. «Bank 254 · Start 156». The «Paid» filter shows only the stock bought by bank, in cash or the opening stock: the row shows just that part, and «Stock value» and the group totals count only it.
How it is counted
Every arrival of a product is a lot with its purchase's way of payment. Whatever leaves (on a client, sold, written off) is taken from the oldest lot first. Stock that was there before purchases were kept in the program is «Start» (opening stock).
Inside the program the same article is under Help.
