Importing clients: Excel and QuickBooks
Move the base from your old program or spreadsheet in minutes — no retyping.
From Excel
- Clients → Excel template — downloads a sample file with the right columns and one example row.
- Fill it in: First name, Last name, Phone are required; the rest (Email, Date of birth, Address, City, State, Zip code, Instagram, Referred by) are optional. Delete the example row.
- Clients → Import Excel → pick the file.
Already have your own spreadsheet? Column order doesn't matter — the program finds them by name. Phones can be in any format.
From QuickBooks
- Connect QuickBooks: Settings → QuickBooks (article “QuickBooks”).
- Clients → Import from QuickBooks — the program pulls the whole Customer list, 100 at a time.
A card is matched by its QuickBooks id, then by phone, e-mail or name. If the client already exists, only empty fields are filled in — nothing you typed is overwritten. Unknown customers become new cards. Sub-customers (Jobs) and customers without a name are skipped.
After the import
A summary shows how many were created, updated and skipped. No duplicates by phone are created. “How did you hear about us” is empty for imported clients — fill it in on the card.
Inside the program the same article is under Help.
